The [Franklin Thermocycler](https://shop.biomeme.com/franklin-real-time-pcr-thermocycler/) is compatible with standard "low profile" 0.1 mL PCR tubes. Unfortunately, 0.2 mL tubes are not compatible with the Franklin. Additionally, standard PCR optical tape alone may not adequately prevent sample evaporation. We suggest adding at least 25 uL of mineral oil on top of your sample before sealing with optical tape.  However, we do highly recommend using [Biomeme's Empty Go-Strips](https://shop.biomeme.com/empty-go-strips-with-void-filling-caps/) and void filling caps, as they are specially designed for use with our device.
