Absolutely! The entire Biomeme platform is melt curve capable.
Creating and running a Heating or Cooling Melt Curve protocol for your Franklin Thermocycler on the Biomeme Go mobile app is a simple process.
Please follow the steps below to create your own Heating Melt Curve protocol:
- Log in to your Biomeme Go mobile app and tap "Protocol Management"
- Tap "+Add"
- Tap to input your desired protocol name
- Toggle on the "Heating Melt" option
- Set your desired parameters:
- Melt Starting Temperature (C°) Minimum starting temperature is 35C°
- Melt Ending Temperature (C°) Ending temperature must be greater than the starting temperature
- Melt Increment (C°) Options include: 0.5C° or 1C°
- Tap "Confirm"
- Return to your Home Screen
- Tap "Start Run" and select your newly created Heating Melt Curve protocol
Please follow the steps below to create your own Cooling Melt Curve protocol:
1. Log in to your Biomeme Go mobile app and tap "Protocol Management"
2. Tap "+Add"
3. Tap to input your desired protocol name
4. Toggle on the "Cooling Melt" option
5. Set your desired parameters:
- Melt Starting Temperature (C°) Starting temperature must be less than the ending temperature
- Melt Ending Temperature (C°) Minimum ending temperature is 35C°
- Melt Increment (C°) Options include: 0.5C° or 1C°
6. Tap "Confirm"
7. Return to your Home Screen
8. Tap "Start Run" and select your newly created Cooling Melt Curve protocol
Important Note:
PCR and Melt Curve are separate runs on our system. After your PCR finishes, create a new Melt Curve run (following the steps above). The PCR and Melt Curve data will be stored as separate runs within the app and on Biomeme Cloud.
